Why We’re Pouring Leitz “Dragonstone” Riesling at Stoneburner
At Stoneburner, we look for wines that tell a story—and the 2023 Leitz “Dragonstone” Riesling does just that.
This wine hails from the Rheingau region of Germany, one of the country’s most historic wine areas. Produced by Johannes “Josi” Leitz, a renowned winemaker credited with reviving the region’s reputation, Dragonstone is made from grapes grown in quartzite-rich soils on the slopes of the Rüdesheimer Berg.
Expect a precise and expressive white wine, with notes of white flowers, orange peel, and lychee, supported by electric acidity and a kiss of residual sugar. It's both structured and easygoing—a rare balance we love to feature alongside our spring and summer menus.
Whether you're pairing it with seafood or sipping solo at the bar, this Riesling brings bright energy to the table. Come try a glass and taste why Dragonstone became one of Germany’s most talked-about exports.
