Now Pouring: Pietramore Montepulciano – Bold, Organic Italian Red Wine by the Glass

Organic red wine from Abruzzo with bold flavor and natural winemaking—now pouring at Stoneburner Seattle.

Our latest by-the-glass addition is Pietramore Montepulciano 2021, a certified organic Italian red that brings just the right balance of bold fruit, fresh acidity, and laid-back charm.

This medium-plus to full-bodied Montepulciano hails from Abruzzo, a beautiful stretch of Central Italy between the Maiella mountains and the Adriatic Sea. The wine? It’s a stunner. Ruby red, floral on the nose, and bursting with notes of juicy blackberry, tangy red currant, rose petals, and a hint of warm spice. On the palate, it’s plush and fleshy—think ripe fruit without the syrupy sweetness—followed by a dry, clean finish with firm tannins. It’s one of those wines that somehow works with just about everything, just the kind we like around here.

Behind Pietramore is winemaker Maria and her partner Massimiliano, who started the project in 2011. They farm 70 hectares of land organically and biodynamically, keeping yields low and quality high. Everything is harvested by hand, fermented with native yeast, and aged in stainless steel—no oak, no additives, just honest wine made with intention.

The name Pietramore says it all: stone + love. It reflects their devotion to the land and their hands-off, soil-driven approach to winemaking. If you love natural wine, Italian reds, or discovering something new, this one’s a must.

Why you’ll love this wine:

  • It’s certified organic and biodynamic

  • It’s a natural wine—fermented with native yeast, no fluff

  • It’s a versatile, food-friendly red

  • You can drink it tonight—no commitment, just by the glass

Come in and try Pietramore Montepulciano while it’s on the list. Whether you're deep into Italian wine or just looking for your next favorite red, this one’s a solid pick.
