Holiday Bubbles at Stoneburner
Featuring the breathtaking, female-led Franciacorta wines of Alessandra Divella
At Stoneburner, we love bubbles (as we have previously mentioned) but we also love a story (also noted). Alessandra Divella isn’t just making wine; she’s redefining what Franciacorta can be. From her small, limestone-rich estate in Gussago comes some of the most striking sparkling wine in Italy. And she’s doing it all herself.
From Hand to Heart
Divella is the only female-led estate in Franciacorta. She farms her Chardonnay and Pinot Noir organically, handpicks each cluster, and uses an old wooden basket press to coax out gentle, precise flavors. Fermentation? Wild. Aging? In oak barrels. Intervention? None. These are wines built on patience and purity, aged a minimum of 30 months before release.
She makes just 12,000 bottles a year, each one a small act of devotion.
What’s in the Glass
Her wines are alive with energy and texture. Expect layers of:
Lemon zest and golden apple
Toasted hazelnut and soft cream
That unmistakable limestone edge that gives it drive and minerality
Every sip lands somewhere between elegance and electricity.
Why We’re Into It
This is Champagne’s Italian cousin but wilder and rarer. Franciacorta shares the same traditional method, but Alessandra’s wines have their own quiet rebellion: organic, low-intervention, and built on a foundation of chalk and limestone that makes each bottle hum with vitality.
It’s the kind of wine we love to pour at Stoneburner: something that connects story, soil, and craft.
Raise a Glass
Alessandra Divella’s Franciacorta is available this holiday season at Stoneburner in both 750ml and magnum. These bottles are small in number, so don’t sleep on it.
Stop in and share a pour with someone who appreciates the beauty of doing things them exceptionally well.
